- H21 Helicopter Recovery Operation
At the age of 16, I spent six weeks in the Cascade Mountains of Washington State working with a team whose mission was to repair a H21 helicopter that had crashed while recoverying the bodies of two U.S. Army soldiers who died in the crash of a L20 Beaver in January 1959.
